Jeremiah is focused on further cultivating the collaborations between himself and other solo artists that operate within a solo/collaborative, electronic/organic, and improvised/composed context. The participating artists—part of the growing electronic, experimental, and contemporary music communities in LA and beyond—have spent the past two years working together as a group and in various pairings via virtual/remote environments. These performances will see them collaborating in real-time and presenting new music to a live audience.
Odeya Nini is an interdisciplinary vocalist and contemporary composer based in Los Angeles. At the locus of her interests are performance practices, gesture, textural harmony, tonal animation, and the illumination of minute sounds, in works spanning chamber music to vocal pieces and collages of musique concrète. Her solo vocal work extends the dimension and expression of the voice and body, creating a sonic and physical panorama of silence to noise and tenderness to grandeur. Odeya has collaborated extensively with dancers, visual artists, filmmakers and theater directors as both a composer and soloist and has worked with Butch Morris, Lucy & Jorge Orta, The Industry, and Wild Up!
International Anthem is a Chicago-born recording company that produces and promotes progressive media. Since their first release in 2014, the IARC have pushed back against commodifiable categorisation and joined a proud hometown tradition in the process, releasing work from celebrated artists like Makaya Craven, jaimie branch, Irreversible Entanglements, Ben Lamar Gay, Carlos Niño, and Angel Bat Dawid (photo below). As much as International Anthem is a meaningfully curated arts label, they’re a hub for consciously uplifting cultural connections and nurturing artistic expression, making this collaboration an organic gesture of collective relationships.
